過去9回のキャンプには毎回３０名近くの中高生たちが、主にCT、NY、NJ、PAの４州から参加してきました。普段から地域の教会に通う中高生だけでなく、教会や聖書になじみのない子たちも参加しています。このキャンプを作り上げるのは中高生たち１人１人です！

★ACTIVITIES★

昨年は、デラウェア川でスピードボートによるチュービングやバナナボートに挑戦しました！その他、チーム対抗ゲームなどユースキャンプならではのエキサイティングなプログラムを企画しています。 

 Activities:

We have various exciting games ready for the youth! Last year, during the water activity time, we enjoyed tubing and banana boat on the Delaware River.

★BIBLE HOUR★

“自分は価値のある人間か？”

この問いにアメリカ人の中高生の半数以上が「Yes」と答えるのに対して、日本人は７．５％だけ…。（「日本青少年研究所」調べ）みなさんは、また、みなさんのお子様はどう答えるでしょうか？今も世界中に大きな影響を与える書物「聖書」－今でもアメリカでは大統領就任時に聖書に手をおいて宣誓をします－その中にこんな有名な言葉があります。

「あなたは私の目に高価で尊い。私はあなたを愛している。」

 （私とはこの天地を創造された神様のことです）

キャンプの中では１日に２回、分かりやすい聖書からのお話しを聞く時間があります。聖書は私たち１人１人の存在は決して偶然ではなく、目的を持って造られた存在であると書いています。その私たちに与えられた「目的」や「使命」とは何か？一緒に考える時間を持ちます。子どもから大人へ…将来のことを考え始める大切な時期に役立つたくさんのお話しを聖書や人生の先輩リーダーたちから聞く貴重な時間です！

Bible hour:

“Am I worth something?” 

When asked this question, only 7.5% of the Japanese student population answered “yes,” as opposed to the American student population, in which more than half of them answered “yes.” What would you expect your child to say? The bible, a literature that still affects the world significantly, has this famous quote:

“You are precious in my eyes – I love you.” (“I” here refers to the God who created the heaven and the earth.)

During the camp, there will be two bible hours where we will hear and discuss the words from the bible. The bible tells us that the existence of each one of us is not a coincidence but with a purpose. What is that? We will have a time to think about what that “purpose” and the “mission” in our life are. During the very important time of transition from being a teenager to an adult, it would be a valuable experience for the youth campers to hear the God’s words from the bible, as well as the life stories from the older leaders.

  ★FELLOWSHIP★

このキャンプを通して新しい友達、それも励まし合い、何でも分かち合える、そんな友達が出来ますように！１人での参加も心配いりません。（大学生以上のリーダーも皆さんのことをサポートします！）アクティビティや部屋のみんなとの「分かち合い」の時間を通して、キャンプ後には必ず…「離れるのが寂しい！」最高の仲間が与えられるはずです。

Fellowship:

Through the five days at the camp, you will meet amazing friends, whom you can talk about anything and encourage one another. Don’t worry about coming to the camp by yourself – there will also be college leaders who will be there to support you! We can guarantee you that you’ll make friends whom you wouldn’t want to be separated from by the end of the camp.

★FREE　TIME★

フリータイムにはプールや体育館やグラウンドでのスポーツが可能です。目の前には美しいデラウェア川が広がります。もちろん昼寝をしたり、ゆっくり友達と話したりするのもOKですよ！

Free time:

You can enjoy playing sports in the gym and field. There is a beautiful Delaware River. Of course, you can also relax and hang out with your friends!
